The star has handed over the full amount of his twenty-five thousand pound honor cash to the Music Venues Trust, which functions to protect the UK's independent live music spots.

He was given the cheque on 16 October as his third album the album was declared the best record of the previous year.

The musician has decided to hand the money over to the MVT, in recognition of the crucial part local spots had in his initial steps.

"I wouldn't be doing my current career if it wasn't for all the performances I did around the North East, and beyond, when I was just getting going," stated Fender. "These locations are legendary, but they are struggling."

From early 2023 onward, at least 150 of these locations have permanently closed – roughly one-sixth of the whole industry in the UK.

Recently, well-known musicians including Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Sheeran have all supported the trust in its attempts to keep the scene afloat, by adding a modest fee to their ticket prices, which goes to help independent venues.

He also participated, raising over £100k on his recent tour to assist numerous grassroots venues across England, Scotland, and Wales.

These funds helped spaces that were confronting potential shutdown due to difficulties caused by flooding, fires and personal losses, as well as licensing issues, court cases and noise complaints.

Some locations received monetary aid in improving infrastructure and technical equipment that helped performers and concertgoers.

"The notion that money from concerts in major spaces helps the local stages, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just logical," the star has commented.

In 2002, artist Ms Dynamite divided her bounty among multiple good causes, including the children's charity and a charity for Sickle Cell.

"Additionally, I donated a £1,000 to Highgate Newtown, to their gymnastics class, because I did gymnastics when I was growing up and they needed new equipment," the artist shared with the media.

In recent years, Ezra Collective contributed their funds to the youth organization that nurtured their group, as well as other independent music bodies.

Also winners that year they contributed their winnings to a charity for MS after a close contact was identified with the disease.

"Receiving the award was ample," stated artist the singer. "The prize was the extra but we could do without the bonus, because we had the main prize. So our success touched another person's life."

Recently, the trust shared it had saved two grassroots venues in that region, by placing them under community ownership.

The Joiners in Southampton and the other in the city were acquired under the public acquisition scheme, which is backed by a national body and supporters who purchase "shares" in the properties.
